About Melonie and her journey to be a 30A Photographer

Born in the early 1970s and raised by a fiercely independent single mother, Melonie developed a strong foundation in abstract reasoning, a skill that would serve her well throughout her life. After a fulfilling chapter as a stay-at-home mom, Melonie embraced a new chapter in 2016, choosing to pursue her own ambitions, becoming a single mom with (3) teens, and redefined her path. This courageous decision, done at age 45, set the stage for her remarkable entrepreneurial journey and a successful full time 30A Photographer.
Today, she is a successful businesswoman and a master photographer with four images featured on the World Art Tour by Professional Photographers of America (PPA). Holding a Master's, Craftsman, and Certified Professional Photographer degree from PPA, Melonie is a Photographer/Image Style Consultant and the CEO of three thriving brands:

In 2021, Melonie married her soulmate, Tim McEver, and together they relocated to 30A Florida, launched Click 30A and now share a life filled with love, faith, and shared passions. Tim owns Clean Camera Repair. They enjoy traveling together during the off-peak season for camera shows, photography conventions, and workshops, where they share their expertise with others. As Christians, their faith is an important part of their lives.
Outside of work, Melonie is a devoted dog mom, especially to her Pomeranian, @lil_bit_a_cash. Tim enjoys playing the guitar and led worship for 20 years. Their blended family includes five children and they are "impatiently" patienly waiting for one these 5 kids to get married so they can have grandbabies.

Beyond her thriving photography businesses, Melonie is also passionately working on her upcoming guide, "Crush It on Camera: Your Guide to Becoming a Magazine Model." This isn't just any style guide – it's a journey of self-discovery and empowerment, especially for those of us who have lost ourselves in the whirlwind of motherhood or body image insecurities. After 25 years of photographing fashion, Melonie wants to share the secrets to making everyday people achieve that easy model vibe.
Melonie's guide delves into the concept of "Style Essence" with her signature "Confidence Closet" approach. It's a witty and relatable exploration of how to transform from "just a mom" style – the comfy clothes and practical choices that often come with years of focusing on everyone else – to rocking stylish, confident looks that feel amazing, even at over 50!
Through her social media platforms, Melonie fearlessly shares her personal journey of overcoming the "mom uniform" and rediscovering her self-worth. She candidly discusses the challenges of prioritizing self-care in a world that often glorifies self-sacrifice. Her message is clear: self-love isn't selfish; it's essential. In addition to her other ventures, Melonie is the visionary behind VYBZ, a faith-based magazine created to empower teen and tween boys and girls. Recognizing the challenges young people face in navigating body image, self-esteem, and the often-distorting effects of social media, Melonie developed VYBZ to offer a positive and supportive space.
VYBZ, short for Visionary Youth BelieverZ, provides a platform for teens to build confidence in their bodies and explore their personal fashion styles. The magazine tackles important topics like body dysmorphia and the impact of digital distortion, offering guidance and encouragement rooted in faith. Through VYBZ, Melonie aims to equip young people with the tools they need to navigate the complexities of adolescence, embrace their unique selves, and cultivate a strong sense of self-worth.
