Hi there, I'm Melonie, and as a 30A Photographer, I've had the incredible privilege of capturing countless families enjoying their luxury vacation here on the Emerald Coast. One of the most common questions I get is, "What should we wear for family photos on the beach?" My answer is almost always the same: you can never go wrong with a timeless combination of white and khaki.

Recently, I had the pleasure of photographing a wonderful family of four—a mom, dad, a teenage daughter, and their sweet toddler son—in beautiful Seagrove Beach. They are the perfect example of how this classic palette not only works but creates a truly stunning, timeless look. Their style perfectly complemented the soft, ethereal light of a 30A sunset, proving why this color choice is a 30A Photographer favorite.
The mom chose a beautiful white two-piece dress, a perfect choice for the beach. The fabric flowed effortlessly in the breeze, and the two-piece style was a stylish and comfortable way to embrace her body type. The dad was equally well-dressed in a cream-colored button-down shirt and khaki shorts. This classic, relaxed look was the perfect masculine counterpart to the softer, more flowing fabrics the women wore, and it also beautifully complemented the sandy tones of the beach itself. This family's intentional wardrobe choices truly made my job as a 30A Photographer a dream.

Their teenage daughter chose a beautiful white spaghetti-strap lace A-line dress. The delicate lace detailing added a touch of elegance and texture, while the A-line cut was both flattering and comfortable, allowing her to move freely and naturally. The fit was perfect for her body type and made for some truly beautiful shots. The young son was absolutely adorable, with a special pop of color. He wore a soft shade of green to match the famous Emerald Coast waters. This subtle detail added a unique, personalized touch and tied their outfits directly to the location, which is a wonderful tip for any family looking to book a 30A Photographer.

As a 30A Photographer, I believe that the best photos are the ones that capture genuine moments and emotions. The right outfits help create a cohesive, distraction-free backdrop that keeps the focus on what's most important—your family. The white and khaki palette did just that. It created a soft, clean aesthetic that allowed their personalities to shine without competing with the breathtaking natural scenery of the 30A. The outfits were comfortable, stylish, and perfectly suited for the environment.

The beauty of white and khaki is that they are classic, neutral tones that won't look dated in ten, twenty, or even fifty years. They’re a sophisticated choice that photographs beautifully in the soft, golden light of a sunset, creating a warm and elegant feel. The family's style choices truly created a feeling of effortless luxury, which is what so many families seek when booking a vacation on 30A. It's why I, as a 30A Photographer, recommend these colors time and time again.

When you're planning your family photos with a 30A Photographer, consider embracing this simple yet powerful color combination. You’ll be able to look back at your photos for years to come and see not only the beautiful memory but a timeless, elegant aesthetic that will never go out of style.
